Wei Huang is a Professor and doctoral supervisor and currently serves as Vice President of Yichun University. He also holds multiple concurrent positions, including President of the Jiangxi Computer Users Association; Member of the Jiangxi Natural Science Foundation Committee; Director of the Jiangxi Artificial Intelligence Professional Committee (also serving as Head and Chief Expert of the Artificial Intelligence Discipline Group); Deputy Director of the Jiangxi Big Data Technology Application Professional Committee; Standing Council Member and Deputy Secretary-General of the Jiangxi Association for Educational Informatization in Higher Education Institutions; Council Member of the Jiangxi Computer Federation; Senior Member and National Member Representative of the China Computer Federation (CCF); one of the first cohort of “Leading Jiangxi” Think Tank Experts; Expert in the Jiangxi Provincial Expert Pool for Industry and Information Technology; Expert of the Jiangxi Informatization Think Tank; Expert of the Jiangxi Big Data Expert Pool; and New Economy Advisor to the Nanchang Municipal Government.He has previously served as Director of the Information Technology Office of Nanchang University, Vice Dean of the School of Information Engineering at Nanchang University, and Deputy Director of the Artificial Intelligence Industrial Research Institute of Nanchang University, and concurrently served as the founding Secretary-General of the Nanchang Chapter of the China Computer Federation.He received his bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Harbin Institute of Technology in 2004 and 2006, respectively.He was later awarded a full doctoral scholarship from Nanyang Technological University, Singapore, to pursue overseas studies, and completed his Ph.D. degree there in 2010.From 2011 to 2012, he conducted postdoctoral research at overseas academic institutions including the University of California, San Diego, and the Agency for Science, Technology and Research (A*STAR) of Singapore.

  In recent years, his main research interests have included artificial intelligence, machine learning, pattern recognition, image processing, computer vision, and multimedia technologies.He has published more than 100 papers in well-known domestic and international academic journals and conferences as first author or corresponding author,including papers in top-tier international journals and conferences in the computer science field such as IEEE Transactions on Medical Imaging, IEEE Transactions on Multimedia, MICCAI, and ACM Multimedia. He has led or participated in nearly 20 national- and provincial-level research projects, including more than 10 major projects such as those funded by the National Natural Science Foundation of China and Key Projects of the Jiangxi Provincial Natural Science Foundation.As the first contributor, he was awarded the Second Prize of the Jiangxi Provincial Natural Science Award,and as first author, he received the Best Paper Award of the Machine Learning in Medical Imaging workshop at MICCAI, a top international conference in the field of medical imaging.He has also received a number of important domestic and international academic awards, including the Best Paper Award at the ICCEAI Conference, the Best Paper Award at the ICITBE Conference, the Most Valuable Paper Award at the ICME-ASMMC Conference, and Second Place in the International Olympiad of Computer Game Playing.In terms of industry service and practical applications, he has authored and released more than 10 provincial- and ministerial-level industry group standards and has been granted multiple invention patents.In academic service, he serves as a review expert for the Information Science Department of the National Natural Science Foundation of China, a review expert for NSFC International Cooperation and Exchange Programs, and a reviewer for projects in Jiangxi, Hunan, Anhui, and other provinces. He has also served in various roles for numerous well-known academic journals and conferences, including Associate Editor, Editorial Board Member, Conference Co-Chair, Program Committee Member, Special Session Chair, and Reviewer.
