News from the Human Resources Office: On April 8, the university convened a promotion meeting for the application of new postdoctoral mobile research stations. Vice President Ping Weiying attended the meeting and outlined work arrangements.
At the meeting, the director of the Talent Exchange and Service Center conveyed the guidelines of the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security on the 2026 new postdoctoral mobile research station establishment initiative, and briefed attendees on the university’s preliminary work arrangements. Heads of the School of Humanities, School of Economics and Management, School of Law, School of Public Policy and Management, School of Food Science, School of Information Engineering, School of Construction Engineering, School of Public Health and School of Nursing reported the progress of their respective applications in turn based on the application materials. Representatives from the schools and relevant functional departments held discussions on research outputs, project filling, and on-campus resource integration.
Ms. Ping Weiying fully affirmed the preliminary work completed by all schools. She emphasized that the strategic value of postdoctoral mobile research station application should be fully recognized, as the stations serve as a key platform for attracting and nurturing outstanding young talents and serving national strategic needs. Leveraging Nanchang University’s unique faculty postdoctoral policy, the university will cultivate a cohort of high-level talents committed to the development of Jiangxi Province, forming a virtuous cycle of "gathering talents through platforms, strengthening disciplines through talents, and promoting development through disciplines". She called for in-depth summarization of disciplinary characteristics and strengths, and making full use of the "Double First-Class" construction advantages of the Food Science and Materials Science disciplines, with efforts to break down inter-disciplinary barriers and promote integration between science and engineering, between humanities and science, as well as between medicine and engineering. She also required strict quality control over application materials, to ensure authentic and reliable data, rigorous demonstration logic, and accurate presentation of strengths. In addition, she stressed enhanced cross-departmental collaboration: the Human Resources Office shall take charge of overall coordination; the Graduate School shall provide guidance on talent cultivation; the Office of Social Sciences and the Office of Science and Technology shall offer professional support such as refining research directions and sorting research achievements, to ensure high-quality completion of the application work.
Leaders from the Human Resources Office, Graduate School, Office of Science and Technology, Office of Social Sciences and relevant schools and departments attended the meeting.
